I have Wipeout HD + Fury on PS3 and it runs at 1080p/60fps so I don't really see the point in getting it for PS4.

I do too actually but the PS3 has been in the attic for 2+ years and it would be hassle to pull it out of there and find room for it. Besides, this release also includes tracks from 2048 too!

its pretty cheap, only place to play 2048 on the big screen, with graphical upgrades to boot.

well not quite. Its HD , Fury and 2048. HD and Fury were on PS3 and 2049 on vita.
It has no tracks for example from any of the previous games.

The video above is massively misleading on that front./

That is a very misleading video. As the game, as mentioned does not contain any of the tracks from Wipeout 2097, its just remakes of the PS3 HD games and PS Vita 2048.

Still, its better then no wipeout game, and its one way to play three great games on PS4... Even better if you have a PS4 pro.
