Hey guys,

Right I want some wireless flash triggers for a couple of reasons...

1) So I don't have to use my sync cable for the studio lights
2) So I can use my 430ex II with said studio lights so I've got a 3rd light, can use it as a fill in, hair light, background, whatever.
3) Because I'll look all fancy if it's wireless
4) Because it's a gadget to buy

So guys, whats the word on the street? what shall I get? :)

Lights are Prolinca 250w's if that helps :)

Thanks!
Jake

Depends how much you want to spend, in rough ascending order of price for a transmitter and 3 receivers:

1) Ebay PT-04 - £20-40
2) Ebay 2.4ghz things (rf-602 or something) - £40-60
3) PocketWizards - £800

I might have missed a few out there.

I had a set of cheap fleabay jobbies and they were pants (misfired more than they fired), so I binned them.

Now have a set of Skyports and I can't fault them.

I just bought some Blazzeo triggers off ebay. They were only £15 for one transmitter and two receivers and seem to do the job well. No TTL, but that was a given at that price!

I use Bowens Pulser remote units, they can be set to individual channels or all channels at once and can be set to transmit or receive. They cost £100 each and are very useful as well as cross compatible between Canon/Nikon any other brand.

One sits on your hotshoe, the other sits on your light/flashgun corded up to it.

RF too, I was able to trigger them from one end of a hall to the other :p

Excellent :P

It seems they support any brand of flashgun with Sleep mode too so I could mate a bunch of cheap manual control guns on some additional brolly+tripods to have a nice portable studio setup :D

If they're anything like the Bowens units I used over the weekend they should be great!

The sleep mode thing is a blessing as my 430EX used to switch itself off and not wake up with my Cactus V2s triggers.

Ordered, £43 for 1x receiver and 2x transmitters, I need to get an additonal sync cable to plug into lights as the kit only comes with 1 and I will have 2x lights but I am tempted to just wing it with an additional 430EX to be totally wire free though, will probably be the better option.
