Wireless help please

Your going to need to give a bit more description than that. Can you explain your circumstances, hardware setup etc.

They are some funny speeds you've given. Wireless will generally be slower than wired. Unless your using 802.11n, which im guessig your not.

Anyway, more details please!
 
u do normally lose a little through wireless, but 11mb seems a hell of a lot, what sort of signal do you have? What strength and what rate?

so you are getting max file transfers of 1.8MB/s?
(18Mb / 8 then remove 20% for TCP overheads)

Do you have any other hosts on your network you can try transfers too/from to work out whether it's your client or some other problem?

huge loss considering you're signal strength and quality of router (netgear are usually very reliable). No explanation from me, advice? Stick to wire, that's a pretty sick connection you have there.

i'm getting the speeds from www.speedtest.net

I have 20mb Virgin BB.

I have a Linksys WRT54G wireless router, only thing plugged in to that is the xbox 360.
The wireless card i have my in my pc is a Linksys WMP54G.

Signal Strength is Excellent.
