I have netgear router Dg834G v2. However i am having problem picking up the signal on my mums laptop. Whenever i search for the network it can not find it however my psp picks up the wireless signal fine. Does anyone know what i could do to fix this. Help would be very much appreciated

I have a feeling we are missing the bluetooth adapter that picks up the wireless signal, is there any way of checking whether it has a pci card intergrated from the menu

You can use a program called NetStumbler to see what cards are being used, but bluetooth shouldn't be involved atall :\.

nothing comes up when i open net stumbler does all it says is "not scanning" on the bottom middle. DOes that mean there is no wireless adaptor
If netstumbler is leading you to think there is no wireless adapter present, what were you scanning with before - windows or manufacturers software?
Is it possibly disabled if it's onboard?
Does it show in device manager?
Could you be confusing a bluetooth adapter with a usb dongle?
Am I missing something obvious here :p

There's a device menu in NS, you just have to choose the right device :).
