Hi All.

Wondering if someone can give me some advice.

We're after some kind of wireless storage device for our home. Nothing to technical, just a plug in, wireless connect to it and away we go kind of thing.

We basically want a wireless storage drive around 4TB, that we can back up our computers and phones to.

We've currently got Macs, and we back them up using time machine with an external storage device that we connect via usb etc.

We wanted to go wireless, and be able to back my mac and my wife's macbook up wirelessly to the one central device, so i'm hoping it will have separate partitions for me and her to use.

Also, be able to back up content from our phones to it. We've got samsung galaxy phones, so have no idea how to back these up wirelessly either.

Any advice would be great thanks.

WD My Cloud seems ok, a friend has one. Has Time Machine support.

Yes the My Cloud range from Western Digital will be fine for your needs. If you could connect it via cable to your router you could still access it via wireless from your devices but it would be better for the first time you do a back up you connect your laptops via cables as the first one is of everything and can take a long long time to back up over wifi.

After that it just backs up the changes so Wifi should be fine.
