Pretty much what Uhtred said. Rings have no positives other than cost. Radials are functionally a better setup and safer.

Ring circuits are a bad system, if I had a rewire I'd want radials. It's too easy to have a break in a ring and it not be noticed.

A very unusual decision in the UK, I reckon half the sparkles I’ve met would tell you it wasn’t allowed as it is so far outside there experience!

Not allowed. Since when. Radial is safer much easier to fault find as well.
Sparkies choose to do rings because it's a, cheaper, b, it's easier to run the wires them being thinner.
Doing it yourself or have an understanding and radial is the way to go.

Wago’s are awesome, I wouldn’t use anything else these days.

I’d take a Wago every time! Having been going round replacing 40 year old face plates lately half of which seem to have had the screws snapped off by the brut of a sparky that fitted them I’d love to have some click down stuff!

Yeah I do like wagos and the junction boxes. I find it too easy to under or over tighten screw terminals. Much quicker too.
