Want to punch myself in the face REALLY hard.

Had any trouble with your wisdom teeth coming through?
How old were you?

I want to cry

Have you been to the dentist about them? As when mine came through they pushed against my back teeth at an angle so had to come out.

I obviously have a big mouth as mine came through fine.

Go to a dentist though, they may not be coming through properly if they're hurting that much.

No, I really should, although I'm petrified of dentists - a schoolboy fear that never disappeared.

My wisdom teeth were growing horizontally i.e. towards the front of my teeth and would have pushed the rest together so that all had to come out. General anesthesia and one sore jaw later they were gone but that night in hospital they served up chewy steak, I went home the next day very hungry and very sore.

Teeth are evil, yet so useful... dentists are just evil though..

Have an abscess on one of mine at the moment, quite a lot of pain, dentist says i can either have root filling or have the tooth out.. not sure what to do! lol just want the pain to bugger off!

My cousin had problems with his wisdom teeth coming through, had to have them out in the end as they came through sideways! not sure what causes it but tooth pains are the WORST.. theres not much you can do about it either. So far my best friend has been antibiotics for the abscess.. and ibuprofen for the pain relief, I found these better over any other pain relief.. but then I couldn't get my hands on any morphine!

Mine have been ever so gradually making themselves more known over the past 5 years or so. I'm 28.

Maybe about once a year they'll flare up and cause problems. Dentist doesn't seem to give a hoot about 'em so I guess they look OK on X-rays etc. but the first time they gave me problems was a NIGHTMARE. I literally couldn't open my jaw more than around an inch and a half before the inflamed "meat" at the hinges was crushing against the teeth and surrounding bone/cartilege. Thank science for straws.

Two of my wisdom teeth are growing out sideways, by that I mean towards my cheek.

Can be bloody painful sometimes. The dentist has seen them and doesnt want to take them out unless they really need to be done

Just find a dentist who does sedation. Get knocked out, wake up a few hours later with no wisdom teeth, and no pain/swelling because he was able to work so quickly and easily without having to worry about your comfort.

I suffered for years with my teeth (terrified of dentists) before I discovered the joys of sedation. It's great.

I was a teenager when mine came through. They haven't caused any issues for ages though. Of course the dentist is always trying to convince me to have them removed, but as they're not a problem I'm not going to bother.

Could be that you have got a minor infection happens a lot around the wisdom teeth, things get stuck in the loose gum..

Pop some Nurofen express (good pain killer and got some anti inflammatory content to) then off to the dentists im afraid...

Think of it this way...pain at the dentists for an hour tops...or pain for the next couple weeks constant....

Mine came through perfectly fine except they supposedly have holes in them and the dentist keeps saying he may as well pull them out while I'm still young. I don't really want to though.

I have them, but according to X-rays they are in such a weird position they will never come through and forever live somewhere in my jaw.

Mine started coming out at 22, at 23 I had to have one chiselled out of my face as it was coming out horizontally. I looked like Popeye for 3 days afterwards :(
