Witcher 1 or Fable 3?

What one is better? Really not sure what to buy, wanted witcher 1 for a while now and fable 3 is on sale :/

Fable 2 + 3 were terrible! I don't particularly like the original Witcher, but I would certainly play that over Fable.

i thought fable 3 was a good game ( played on xbox) shame 2 and 3 wenrt as good as the first, havnt played whicher though

I liked the combat in Fable 3, shame everything else isn't great

Fable 3 I thought was excellent no idea why so much hate for it :eek:

Never played any of the others or the Witcher as they did not appeal to me but Fable 3 is a vast entertaining easy to pick up & play fantasy RPG which improves the more you play it & can be great fun in Co-Op. Its more of a family friendly RPG but still very solid.

The Traitors Keep DLC concerning a lonely robot is both funny & looks very good far better than the main game (which has some stunning moments graphically & set piece wise also).

I think there is a level of blind hatred against Lionhead for not making Fable2 on PC so they hate on the game for no good reason. It starts off slow but builds interest very well & has a good 60 hours plus gameplay time.

I bought Fable3 & all DLC on release for full price & got a good 75 hours + out of it so very happy with it

Takes some getting used to, but i found it to be very rewarding. I wish they had kept the mechanics for 2 tbh(or something similar).

I warn you though that it is a bit of a slow burner, you might not get in to it straight away, but give it time and it turns in to an amazing game.

^^ I didn't really think Fable 2 was bad, in fact i quite enjoyed it(played it on 360) but 3 i thought was awful.

Fable 3 was a bit of a letdown imo, I got limited edition.
12 hours of nice story, fun combat, and some great comedy areas.
Shame you only play it once tbh.

They are very different games tbh. You do not have to play the first to enjoy the second but i would definitely play the first one, as i thought it was a much better game than the second(though i might be in a minority). The second game i would say is more accessible as well(with the new 2.0 patch even more so)

I'm going to get the second one after christmas when i get my new pc because it looks awesome i just wasnt too sure about the first one, couldnt find any good videos on youtube in good quality so

going to buy the first one in a sec though. Take me a full day to download though -_-

There are some good texture mods for it as well which will get it looking very nice indeed. There was a thread where i think Neil79 described and linked some of them.
