And the Dark Edition looks super awesome. And normal edition has the most extras of any console game ever.

CDProjekt is the best company in gaming industry period. GOTY 2011 will become GOTY 2012.

I've heard of this game, but disliking PC gaming I've never shown any interest in it. But just watched a few vids for The Witcher 2 Assassins of Kings - Enhanced Edition and it looks RIGHT down my street so immediately pre-ordered a copy.

The Enhanced edition looks pretty neat as well! Looking forward to this arriving in a few weeks now.

I have pre-ordered..any pc gamers want to give us an idea of what we can expect and how it differs from someting like skyrim?

Thought this was released next Friday here, turns out its a global release next Tuesday, and my copy has already been dispatched and might even turn up tomorrow. Awesome!

Quite different. It's not really a freeroamer (although there are open areas at times) It's a very story driven RPG with a very well told story, great cutscenes and diverging paths based on decisions.

The drawback is it's a little short and has a reverse difficulty curve (combat starts off tough as nails and gets progressively easier once you unlock abilities)

TT2 couldn't hold a candle to TW2, which is one of the best PC games ever made.

I'd even say TW2 is a better RPG than anything available on consoles.

I actually hated Two Worlds 2 I found the magic system \ combat and just general appearance of the whole game to be terrible, I have played a lot of RPG's in my time, wouldn't recommend it at all.

TW2 is probably the bestest game I have played on the PC in the last few years. The story progression is what made that game for me.

Played this today at the gadget show.

Controls work quite well, but after completing it on the PC, the difference in graphics was incredible (though it still looked decent)

Worth picking up if you don't have a decent PC (which is definitely the preferred platform for this title)

I got to play the full build of the game yesterday at the Gadget Show in Birmingham and it is amazing. The 360 version seems to really push the console and hasnt held anything back from the PC version. Looks great and plays great and starts off great too. My only concern was the loading times between scenes and areas. Very long indeed but then when you see what the graphics look like it has a lot to load and optimise I guess. But still very long lol

what are the controls like with mosue and keyboard ? thinking of buying it for the pc as ive never played it. seen some people say its suited for a controller?

Also is the enhanced 10gb patch available for preload on steam now?

The Witcher games are based on the books by Andrzej Sapkowski, they have a bit of a cult following in Poland. I think the first book has been translated into English.

You don't need to have played the 1st game to understand the 2nd, as they are separate stories, although it would help to have played the 1st game or read the books to understand some of the lore.

For example Witcher's are pretty much seen as freaks, in the 1st game most people in towns react aggressive to you. Witcher's are mostly employed as bounty hunters, killing monsters that plague towns and city's, except Dragons! A Witcher does not recognise a Dragon as a monster.

Oh and a Witcher is not capable of getting a woman pregnant and they have some magic abilities and can use potions which are actually mutagens. They would kill normal humans. Last but not least the Witcher carries two swords, steel for killing humans and silver for killing monsters.

The game plays really smooth with a pad. which was a big surprise as I mostly believe mouse + keyboard > everything else.

The first book has been translated as well as a book of short stories, they're both excellent imo (Blood of Elves is the first part, The Last Wish is the short story collection)
