Witcher 3

I must have taken care of it in a totally different way!

she lives on in my game and has been sent to safety...maybe I can collect a whole posse of sexy witches

Fair enough! I must have said the wrong thing. Wouldn't of been the first time. Then the crazy ho attacked me. That is a first however

RE Gwent, I missed out on some of the early cards but as long as you do the other quests and play lots of people / buy cards from traders you will end up with 95% of the best cards.

And I think throughout the game that I probably bedded half the women in the game. Geralt is like catnip to the wimmens.

Cheers for that - I think I'll start trying my hand at Gwent tonight then.

I haven't had this opportunity yet, although only just got out of starter!

This is what im doing with Gwent just practicing and buying cards spending all the little money i have on new cards. Just so i don't miss any, theres no hidden traders that sell the cards? Its just traders on the map that i need to look out for? I really should buy the walkthrough book :D

Asked this when it first came out, so thought it would be worth asking again to see if anyone has changed. What skill paths you going down? Currently sticking to the Muscle Memory, Precise blows and one in the White for Vitality regen buff during the day.

Can't see myself putting anything in alchemy or signs. Unless im missing something?

I've invested in the shield sign(whatever it's called) as I used it a lot. I haven't even bothered with alchemy as I don't seem to be able to make anything useful yet. I've gone for the vitality regen and also +500 vitality. I'm only level 10 so far though.

Some of the things I have learned / think about the points from my playthrough.

The recover health in the day/less at night isn't worth it unless you are on a difficulty where meditation doesn't recover your health because 95% of the time you are better spending 10 seconds doing that.

The shield sign without any sort of bump using points is good enough to use throughout the game as long as you are careful. I found that against super hard hitting enemies you cast that, run in behind them and do a load of damage until they hit you which breaks your shield but does no damage and then you back off to cast it again.

I spent 95% of my points on red perks (fighting) and by the end it was roughly doubling my damage output. The other perks are the adrenaline points which make a huge difference to damage and other things as well as the spinning sword and shield breaker being useful.

There is a potion for 1000 monies which allows you to redistribute your points so you can always change them later. I am thinking about using it to move all of mine into the signs and see what that does as apparently they get very strong at high levels.

The oils etc are really useful and make most enemies super simple if you have the right oil. Some add 25% to your damage and the griffin oil does 10% of their total life in damage each hit. A griffin that was too tough to kill suddenly became really easy.

A lot of alchemy is far too involved and pointless but some potions such as cat (see in dark) and killer whale (breathe longer underwater) were really useful.

Don't attack the guards! They are like level 48 and one hit knocks you down. I tried it near the end of the game and I had 17k which they took 13k of. If they put these uber guards out into the world they wouldn't have any monsters left!

I too went for the vast majority of points into the red (fighting) upgrades. I also put a fair amount of points in the Quen (shield) sign and then some into the yellow (universal?) tree for general ones like the extra health, extra damage in light armour etc.

As fez says, using the shield to minimise damage definitely seems the best way to go from my experience.

I'm fighting one of the commanders of the wild hunt and noticed since then I can't use any signs, I have no stamina in my bar and consuming food doesn't show up on the screen or make my health regen

What gives?

The only camera problem i have is sometimes i have forget to spin it around when im rolling around dodging etc. I wouldn't say its diabolical though. Although i haven't played 1 or 2 so i have nothing to really compare it too.
