Woman cashed in to my car

i always park with my passenger door as close as possbile to the passenger door of the next car.
this prevents a passenger from even trying to get in until the car has been reversed out of the bay and it alerts the driver that my vehicle is very close to his, typically forcing him/her to put more attention into manoevuring.

Is that before or after they key it for parking too close?

never happened yet.
as long as it doesn't look like i've been a cheeky **** and parked in their bay as well as mine i don't see the chance of it happening either.
to be honest parking normally has a high chance of being "door slapped" everytime so a keying incident as you describe is the low risk option IMHO.

I have to stick up for direct line here they've been great regarding my claim. This woman reversed into the front of my stationary vehicle and jumped out blaiming me for it. Reported it to direct line when it happened 1/4 found out yesterday she is claiming that I hit her vehicle!!!!

Though did get my car back today repaired :D

Were you there when she did the damage or did she hang around? Either way at least you will get things sorted. The typical scenario in this country involves a drive off.

I've started reversing into bays now, much safer when it comes to leaving.
