You may ask... the answer is no to being attached, no to missus having short hair and I am unable to grow a sincere moutache so the option is robbed from me
 
I'm attached and I have long hair. My hair is my safety blanket :)

My OH is clean shaven too, when he can be bothered. I suppose it might suggest that you feel that women are less attractive with short hair if you feel they are 'removing themselves from the market'? Lots of men prefer short haired women, though it is supposed to be one of those sub-conscious attraction things - men to long haired women. Not sure why.

I watched one of those annoying American "The Worlds Worst Most Brutal Goddamn Bloody Cop Shootouts" presented by that guy who presents every "The Worlds" programme.

90% of the American cops interviewed had mentally dodgy moustaches.

As for moustaches meaning you're gay or taken, I don't really agree with that. My Dad had a moustache when he was single, he shaves it off and regrows it randomly.
