Wonder how many PC gamers are going switch to the new PS4/Xbox One

I won't be, will be sticking with my pc theres only a few games that have made me want to get a console over the last few years.

Heavy Rain,
Red Dead,
Beyond two souls.
Forza series

I just have to ask myself this:

Which platform will give me 1080p/60fps/max details in Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077?

Hint: It is no console.

So I am sticking with PC. I will get PS4 later when there are some nice exklusives for it, but I will play 95% of my games on PC, just like always. Better quality of experience.

I'd much rather just spend the money upgrading my PC than buying either a PS4 or XBone. I would like to play Final Fantasy XV but I'm not going to pay for a new console just for 1 game.

I’ve never bought a console before but I’m seriously thinking about getting the PS4 this time. Obviously, it would always be a secondary gaming unit compared with my PC. Gamepad v mouse and keyboard for FPS, console game prices v PC game prices, worse graphics etc. and all the other reasons.

i had a moment of madness and thought about it i must admit.

my pc is due an upgrade as i built it on a budget.

i have £300 to spend and did think for a day or so that i would be better off buying a console.

decided against it though.

Gaming wise I had an Amiga then a PS1 then a PC. I liked the PS1 controller, but prefer mouse and keyboard! Some games are only available on console - I just pretend those games don't exist :)

I found that Steam controller video funny when he kept missing the headshots :) You don't miss with a mouse ;)

This just in: The Wii controller sucks

I came from being a PS3 gamer to PC about 6 months ago but still play both and will most likely end up getting a PS4 though I will still play both. Yes the PS3 community was always more social and accessible and to be honest I feel that the PC gaming community (at least in Battlefield) has a much lower level of maturity with a lot more kids on their parents PC's and keyboard warriors. I'm 33 and I honestly thought that PC would be a much more grown up community, sadly I was wrong. Oh and with regards to the guy who wanted cross-platform gaming because console players "wouldn't know what hit them", me and a few friends made the switch at the same time from being above average but by no means great console gamers and have since pretty much annihilated every group of PC players we've met. The honest truth is that the best PC and console players are pretty much even but the AVERAGE level is higher on console. Thats coming from a non-fanboy who plays both. Just sayin', no offence :)

Cross-platform means console players on controllers (with no auto aim), vs pc players on keyboard and mouse. Hence the reason they would lose in fps cross platform games. As much to do with input method than just 'skill'.

I am curious which 'group' of pc gamers did you annihilate?

You will find people that play games often get better at them. Really nothing more to it.

Well, after picking up a Ps3 for GTA V and ending up with Dragon's Dogma, Uncharted 3, Jak & Daxter trilogy, X-COM, Spartacus Legends and Tekken Tag 2 my PC hasn't seen any action in nearly a month other than a little bit of Terraria. Definitely getting a PS4 next gen so I think it'll be pretty back and forth between PC and PS4 for months or so at a time due to exclusives on console and obviously multi plat games being a hundred times better on PC. Don't think I'm the only one, infact I'm most likely a part of the majority.
