i would if it knocked over £500 off the price,

You'd still have to spend the £500 getting it sorted though. I'd rather find a better example & spend the £500 more.

Service history shows that the car has been looked after etc but I agree it would put people off.

Am going to try and get a few more quotes from local body shops

depends how much he puts that car up for, if it went for around 2.5k the scratch wouldent bother and i would just leave it, especailly if i was planning to keep the car for a few years.

So do we think that 2.5k would shift the car in the state it's in?

If parkers says 3.9k private in good condition then I suppose I should get it done because even at 600quid inc vat it would still turn a profit!

Same here.

If I was selling I'd look at getting them done for an easy sale, even if it left me a little out of pocket.

Can I just ask how you did them? They look pretty mean... I'm guessing that its been keyed :(

Indeed it was keyed, on 3 occasions!

I can't work out who's doing it or how to protect form it happening :(

I'm going to have to see if I can clear the garage and move our mx5 into the garage and I can stick my car on the drive!

Too much information to go on the window, unless you're filling up every window it's not going to grab anyone's attention.

'For Sale'
'Price'
'Contact Details' (Mobile no / email address)

The above should be all you need really.

Plan was two pages.

1 with Price on, 2nd with these details.

OK the car is booked into the body shop on Thu/Fri this week and then for an MOT next Monday.

I need to sell this car reasonably quickly as my new car is becoming available mid December.

Any ideas on Price?

Parkers valuations are on the previous page and I'd say the car was "in good condition", do Black cars also command a premium?

I assume that the best place to shift the car quickly will be AT but should I do web only or web and mag? I'm also based in Staffordshire but work in Warrington so I could do to appeal to both areas, do I put in two seperate ads?

My housemate recently sold his 306 and he used AutoTrader but web only and he got plenty of responses and it sold quickly

I wouldn't suggest Ebay, you just get idiots asking for part exchanges and you will never get what you want for it. People use ebay to find a bargain, not to shop for what could be a very expensive purchase for themselves.

Also costs you £30+ if you don't put a reserve on and still decide not to sell.

been there done that .... ;)

OK the car's back from the body shop with a repainted side and boot!

Had an MOT today, passed no worries and have had a replacement secondary aux air pump fitted to clear a fault.

The car is now ready for sale, it's booked in for a full valet on Thursday morning so I'm looking for some daylight to take some pictures before I list it on AT.

I would class the car is in very good condition for it's mileage and it was an ex fleet car before I acquired it so it's always been well maintained.

Can you guys help with a few do's and don'ts for an AT ad, maybe mock me one up?

Should I put an e-mail address on the ad or am I just encouraging scammers?

I have the replacement car due hopefully on the 15th so I need to shift the car. This thread should give you all the details of spec etc.

I'd be happy to sell for £3500 for a quick sale. If this sounds like a fair price what should I put her up for assuming that people will knock me down?
