Looks great, the cast does it for me. It’s quality all the way and screams of a classically fun English movie for families.

The original was basically Saw for kids, who wants this woke reimagining of some guys back story that will be a modern take and not historically accurate.
were black people allowed in the police force in whatever time period this should be? does the black girl sit on the back off the bus? is she a slave?
black lives matter should organise a boycott for undermining peoples opinions of the struggles their ancestors had to endure.
this film must be the 1920s or 30s? I'm imagining a disney style take ignoring what reality was really like back then for white and black people and everyone else who didn;t live privileged lives.
super woke... Shouldn't these kids be working in sweat shops, dangerous factories or sweeping chimneys ?
I guess we are supposed to pretend America wasn't a super backwards society with segregation etc

Historically accurate? It's a fantasy movie exactly like the first one.
Oompa loompaa don't exist, Gum can't turn you in to a blueberry. Fizzy lifting drinks don't make you float. Shrink rays don't exist. Elevators can't fly through the air and go anywhere etc.

She's in every shot of the second half of the trailer. I bet good money it's going to be a bait 'n' switch picture where she's responsible for all of Wonka's success because "magic black girl boss"TM

Nothing about that trailer gives off woke vibes, some of you really do need help.
This is the OCUK film section. Just be amazed that we got to page 2 before the usual suspects started raging about wokeness because they dared to have a woman or someone who wasn't white in the trailer.

Looks like another uninspired cash grab. Seems to be a bit of a trend with films recently. Going for the safe option and pull on people's remember berries. I never liked the original and I won't bother with this one either.
