WOOP! :)

Hmmm...I can't remember! I know the front one has a normal UK one. i will check the rear tonight.

Another thing I found strange was all the Toyota documentation you'd get when buying a new car from them, and even found the business card of the sales rep who sold the car, would a dealer ever have an import car?

I'll have more info tonight when I get home.

As I understand it the Econ button is an economy setting for the Aircon it makes the Aircon use less fuel to run and is therefore more economical to run but less effective.

Why would the car have both A/C and Econ then?!

How strange...

Econ stands for "Economy", it's simply a different mode of operation. In economy mode the compressor is switched in and out as the temperature reaches or departs from the setpoint. This ensures minimal loading on the engine and hence better economy. In practice, it just makes the aircon a bit less effective (IMO) and the economy difference is negligible.

The Climate control is recognisable by having a temperature scale on the control knob rather than just red/blue graduations. Also there is a sunlight sensor on top of the dash and a small grill under the dash to the left of the steering wheel that is for the cabin temperature sensor.

If this car really is an import then it sounds like it might have had a s/h UK boot lid fitted. If so check for damage in the boot as it's likely had a rear ender (or at least been through a hedge backwards).
