i had 2 letters in the wrong places by attempt 3, with 14 different letters used up
I could only think of one word using the 2 letters I had and three more, boom correct

Mods, any chance of changing the rules here so that we're allowed to actually discuss the word etc? It's a bit pointless at the moment - not a discussion, just walls of different coloured emojis. It'd be like a thread in the movies section but you're not allowed to talk about the film.
Plus who's even clicking on this thread and reading every post if you haven't done today's word yet. It's too much of a risk anyway.

It might be better to ditch your greens and try consonant heavy words to try and find the missing letter quicker.
Wouldn't have made a difference. There were too many possibilities it could have been. Likely would have wasted the same amount of tries with words that definitely were incorrect.

Agreed but if you have words to spare you burn a word to figure it out. I got those letters on my third word so went with
flume

Would still require pure luck to get this in 3 or 4 though as there are just so many possible words it could be by just changing one letter (ie you would need to potentially waste a few goes on nonsense words that wouldnt work just to go through all the possible consonants).
