I'm getting the feeling that Wordle is shifting from "nice simple game with random non-plural words" that anyone can enjoy, towards "carefully planned words that are set by a bot or crossword setter".

I don't mind the ocassional hard one, but more often than not the words nowadays are becoming a PITA.

AFAIK it used a fixed list of words which can be found if you look for it. Unless that changed after the NYT takeover.
