Work Hours - while or till

Trivia: saying: [time] while [time], has been immortalised in rock lexicon (on vinyl). "Nine While Nine", the song by The Sisters of Mercy (from Leeds), tells the story of a gentleman unsuccessfully awaiting arrival of his beloved on a train/fate of destiny (interpretation depends on amount of methedrine in blood stream, [ sneaked in "matroshka" joke-in-a-joke there ]) in a time frame of between 9am and 9pm via repeated use of the very local northern colloquialism in chorus and title.
