Work unit P2605, 1760 points...

I just had my first SMP stopped, as it failed to meet the deadline. Has anybody else been struggling. I have been fine for the last couple of weeks.

Mine runs close to the preferred dealine with these larger WUs - [email protected]
Also since they use more of the CPU there's not enough slack to make running my GPU client worthwhile.

If this is the way things are going I may have to go dual-boot sooner than expected :o :p

edit: That's on 24/7 and hardly any gaming or other CPU hungry activities

That doesn't sound right, or maybe it does
.8 extra = 16% faster
60sec less = 14% increase in proformance
£200+ = 300% the cost  ... cheap chips for the win :D

What chipsets/Mobo are you boys running your C2D on and ram/hhd would be nice too.

22 mins a frame with two running on a 430x8 Conroe.

Getting 22mins a frame running two just now however I'm running 9x355, for some reason I can't boot up with 400x8 or 7x400 however I can run the ram upto 475 on a divider or run it at 3-3-3-3-12 at 355 (G Skill HZ ram) so not sure whats stopping it.

hmm do you think its limited in some way??

75% cpu use, yeah guess so.
wonder why they don't have it using 100%?

guys doing two cores, 22+ mins a frame is bad surly?
if I get 7-9mins a frame with 1, unless I'm gonna get 18-20mins at the outside it would be bad?
also I'm running a normal core aswell using the spair!

two SMP cores,
but your two cores take more than double my single core.

you talking about the same WU's here? The p2605 seem to use most of the CPU time (90-95%) wheras the p3025 which everyone was getting before was only using around 75%

However you're probably right about not running two of these more demanding ones together as there could easily be some bandwidth issues
