Working 9 hours. What breaks should you get?

This is by biggest fear about employment, 5 hours from 12-5 seems impossible to work continually.

Dont worry nobody works solid fo 5 hours, just go for a wonder or hide like i do in a cupboard or upstairs and play games on your phone.

Gotta get own back (by burning your place of work to the ground)

i have no breaks, as i want to get the work done..

would you rather your employer send you home for weeks at a time on full pay?

Yes, absolutely.

how much of a break do you want?

Ideally, all of the time.

I work because I need money. I'd prefer not to have to work at all.

When I do 6.5 hour shifts, I get 15 minutes or nothing, depending on workload at the time.

When I do 11.5 hour shifts, I get 1 hour plus a second break of 15 minutes or nothing, depending on workload.

That'll do, but yes I would prefer to be paid for not working.

Alternatively find a job you enjoy. Since getting my latest job I actually look forward to going in to work and would almost do it even if I wasn't being paid...

You don't say what you do but if it's anything like warehouse work then I feel for you. **** work, **** conditions, **** pay... Hated it when I did it, even worse than cleaning the sweat of gym machines tbh..

Which is illegal. Even if it is through personal choice you are still entitled and your work can do nothing about it if they try to impose this.

Differnt curcimstances.

Plus I have watched an entire season of The Office, and have had quite a few smokes. So who am I to complain! :)

I was told by an ex-employer that my break was 5 minutes for every hour I worked, legally speaking.

I haven't confirmed this...

I work a 6 hour shift, get a 20 minute break.

At a 9-5 job sitting at an office I would HAVE to get up and go for a wander for a couple of minutes every hour. My body would hate me otherwise.

nope, 20 minutes for 6 hours.
I get half an hour unpaid on a 12 hour shift. Work in engineering. That's how it is. An idle machine costs money. I think its a running cost of nigh on £100 per hour here.
