Working today?

I was in work yesterday but there was absolutely nothing to do. Therefore I spent a good 6 hours watching DVDs that I'd been bought for Christmas, an hour randomly surfing, and an hour going out for food. They're the kind of shifts you need :D

Working, but have done absolutely nothing all day, other than wait on a delayed train this morning and take a couple of hours out for a walk earlier to pass some time.

I was under the impression that everyone was on a holiday until the 2nd? Guess not.

In the office, 7am till 6pm... IT Support lol.... only support so far is moving the 5 PC's that were under the water leak last monday lol..

ar well... its a day of pay...

All i need now is to sort out Giant and get some money...

ColiN - here tomorrow too

I finally stumbled into the office about 1 (so officially 4 hours late) and asked if it had been busy, the response - 'we've had two phone calls, and one of them was from you'. So I'm not expecting too strenuous an afternoon, i'll probably wonder off about 4-30...I love working this time of year....

was out at work early doors this morning and finished with a good days takings at 1:30 :)

I came in at 10 today, an hour late but I figured it wouldn't make a difference, as expected... It didn't.
3 of us in today, not much to do right now but I can't complain. Would have loved the day off, but needed to catch up on a couple things I missed Monday, it's another days pay in the bank though. :)

I expect similar tomorrow, Monday is when it'll start getting rubbish. :(

IT Support lol....
Same here.

So it's not been that quiet today, though I have downloaded the instructions, broken into the coffee vending machine, filled it with decent coffee rather than mud and reprogrammed it :D

AND WOOOOOOOOT I'VE DRANK TOO MANY ESPRESSOS AND I@M SOOO FULL OF CAFFEINE BADABADA BADABADA BADABADA WOOOOO!!!!!

yup, I'm in today - been very productive actually. Don't worry, though - none of my productivity has been work-related. there's only a few people in today :D

Well as expected my boss let me go home at lunchtime and said i could work from home tomorrow too. I think he was expecting a lot more issues over this period as he previously worked in a team who have many more incidents than us, (don't get me started).

Today we have had six auto ticked incidents, one due to applications support cancelling a job and forgetting to cancel the monitoring on it and five due to the DBAs being .... well DBAs (two of which were duplicates). I have had a grand total of 3 emails, (one from the Apps team apologising for the incident and two from a friend in another team on another site) and when I left the office at 13:00 we still had had zero phone calls ...

Got to try and stay awake through tomorrow now (but being at home DVDs should help with that :) )

I'm in as an Incident manager for IT systems for a distribution company. I'm meant to be critical staff and need to work over the Christmas Newyears gap.

No one told the warehouses or Support Staff who are all off. I'm sat in the office bored out my mind watching the Terminal Services Manager counting live sessions.

For information we currently have 8 sessions open, mine, a backup agent session, the security guards, the receptionists and 4 remote users. Normally have over 600 on a normal day.

Had to go into the office this morning until 1300. It’s a nice time of year to do some maintenance on client systems as most clients are away. I am on call until 1600.
