workplace infidelity and the strictly curse

It is a vit touchy feely. Even when finished dancing and the interview you see them cuddling and hopding hands in the background. Think they do a lot of things together i would class as intimate actions
Wait? You don’t treat your work colleagues like that?

The "Strictly curse" is a myth. I remember reading a report about it a couple of years ago comparing the number of couples involved and the average rate of relationship breakups generally. The couples on Strictly Come Dancing have a lower breakup rate than the national average.

It's almost as if people get together/marry because it's convenient rather than because they actually love each other.....

Men aren't exactly saints but at least they keep their affairs as a sideline event, when women aren't bound to the kitchen they're bound to want to climb the social ladder by marrying up the chain whenever the opportunity presents itself. Muslim men must actually be onto something with the Burqa then? but of course it's not oppressive or anything...

I feel like the OP could've been 5 lines when instead we got a book. Rather curious behaviour from someone who doesn't watch these shows no?

Oh and nobody believes you dowie, we all know you watch crap tv :D

Oh and I'd learn to dance if Rachel Riley was on the cards too.

Someone has just joined our work who apparently is in an 8 year relationship, and they have been flirting heavily with a few people in our department...it's only a matter of time!

I always hear the point "well maybe they aren't happy in their relationship"...so what?! If you're unhappy, break up. Having an affair with someone else before breaking up your existing relationship is incredibly selfish and cowardly IMO.

I saw the Seann Walsh story in the papers, I can’t believe people got so worked up over and even calling them for to be axed from the show!

Yeah on one hand I think they should simply be judged on their dancing, on the other hand there is an added complication in their case in that Katya's husband also works on the show.

I suspect that in a regular workplace HR might not be too happy if there was an aggrieved party on the payroll too.

One of my colleagues got caught finger-blasting someone up by the 3rd floor lockers, he was married, she was a newbie.

He got dragged in to appear before HR and denied anything happened.

His wife kicked him out and he's now, unsurprisingly, shacked up with this girl...

I give it 6 months before she's getting ploughed by the rest of her shift.

can someone tell me if this wall of text is worth reading? Thx...

Probably not, unless you like strictly (and Love Island)

I'll give you a tl:dr instead

A couple on strictly (a pro dancer and a celeb) have cheated on their partners.
This has happened in the past too and been labeled a "curse"
the pro dancers husband works on the show too

It seems to me that rather than a "curse" it is seemingly inevitable these days that people cheat in the workplace and I'd have thought it even more likely in a stressful environment where they're working so closely together etc.. - does anyone work in a workplace where there has been no infidelity?
