Not tainted as far as I'm concerned, it was a marvellous leap above Shilton. ;) I'd say he redeemed himself in the same game though with arguably the finest individual goal ever scored in a World Cup for his second, sadly too many people (often the English for reasons that escape me :o) seem to forget that one.

Ah yes then I'd agree, I don't think it will matter even a year or two down the line apart from possibly to the Irish and a few others. I'd tend to view it as an aberration, Henry doesn't have a history as a dodgy player so the handball is unfortunate at least but not worth judging an entire career on.

You do realise he was heavily involved in a team that won the whatever the heck it was, treble, 5 titles including crap pointless ones?

You know he started 25 games in the league last season....... and scored 19, with 8 assists, he started 9 CL games and scored 5 goals with 3 assists.

He started 55 games and scored 36 goals with 13 assists. SO just to point out, he's only scored more than 36 goals in all competitions in a season ONCE, in the 2003/2004 season. So his best ever season, finished a year ago, with a League, and champs league winners medal.

Yup, Henry is crap and his legs are completely gone, as they have been for years.

The reason he hasn't played as much for Barca this season is fairly simple, the same reason Yaya and Marquez(and a few others) were benched, they weren't Spanish, yaya is 10 times the player Busquets is, and Henry is much better than Pedro.


THe reason Henry hasn't played is between the final qualifier and the world cup started the entire squad had a shouting match after a pathetic performance with the manager. They ALL hate the manager, they all think he's crap, the manager thinks benching senior players will somehow save him, the manager is a moron.

Henry is still very good, he has pace, but his shooting, passing, vision, movement are still world class even if he's lost a tiny bit of pace. Remember Henry at 90% of his best ever speed is faster than 95% of players in the world.
