Yup, it could get good, one more goal for either team, which way does it go after GD. If it goes 3-0 and 0-2 to Uru, the GD will both be 0, they also drew their game, will it go down to goals conceded?

Sa have conceded 4, Mexico have now conceded 2 so if it finishes with GD of 0, Mexico would go through? AS it stands though, South Africa need 3 more goals if the other score stays the same?

I'm not sure whats best anyway, Mexico are by far the better team, but will game atmosphere be better with the home nations still involved for another round, or will atmosphere improve with less enthusiastic horn blowing?

Assuming they manage to get GD the same, SA should have a better goals scored by then, both on 3 scored right now. However the Mexico game could go to something like 3-1, with SA winning 3-0 they'd have same GD and goals scored, at which point it must go on goals conceded?

For the World Cup tournament, FIFA uses the following criteria to rank teams in the Group Stage:

1. greatest number of points in all group matches;
2. goal difference in all group matches;
3. greatest number of goals scored in all group matches;
4. greatest number of points in matches between tied teams;
5. goal difference in matches between tied teams;
6. greatest number of goals scored in matches between tied teams;
7. drawing of lots by the FIFA Organising Committee.

Not sure I really understand some of those.

I wonder what the odds are of the manager being fired at half time and Platini, Zidane, or Henry or someone coming out in charge in the second half.

Really they should get Ribery off, and Diabolical, get Henry and, someone on and see what happens. The team out there now just isn't working and the managers idea's are most certainly not working.
