I have given up on watching that match, the italians are annoying the crap out of me. Its so sad that a team like Italy has to cheat so much to beat new zealand.

If I was a ref when Italy were playing I would let them know in no uncertain terms that their reputation precedes them and that if I even see a hint of a dive or simulation I will card them.

Ruins the game and makes my bloody boil to see every Italian, no matter whether they are attack or defence, diving all over the place with the sole intention of getting the other players sent off.

To be honest I would really rather we went out that have to resort to cheating to get through. I know most teams do dive a bit but the Italians are taking the michael.

Why do refs believe them? It seems to me like a simple decision in most cases.

Did the player dive - yes/no
Are they trying to get the opposition player booked - yes/no

If the answer is yes to both questions then the diver should be booked.
