Tbh i didnt watch the Italy game but seems like it was a good one:p...glad the Italians are out...loathe the way they play and hopefully Lippi will get sacked for bringing such an ageing team to the WC...they were outplayed in all of their group matches...well the previous 2 they were....as shocking as the French were in all honesty.

Divers & Playactors 2: Timewasters & Playactors 3

As much as I can't stand Italian acting (which is shameful), the Slovaks were every bit as bad at the end.

Awful, awful cheating. Simple as that.

They got a taste of their own medicine.

As much as I disagree with timewasting and cheating, I have absolutely no sympathy for Italy.

The side referee person couldn't see when the ball was crossed because there wasn't much daylight?

This was the offside decision. When they were discussing it, he said there definitely was no daylight between the players. Either it was a random comment, or he's implying it isn't offside because of it.

ITV coverage, commentary and pundits (bar Southgate) are completely ****ing useless.

Chiles, is shocking at this presenting business.

Bit of hate towards Italy. Yeah they playact but that's what loads of teams do when they want to waste time, Slovakia were terrible at it today, didn't that get noticed? They were much worse than Italy, it's not an Italian thing it's just what football is and always was! When there's so much at stake for millions of fans it's not really a big deal to get a yellow card for wasting a bit of time, it's easy to see why it's so common

Shocking lino' - infact a disgrace, if I was one of the 'retiring' Italians, id have gone out Zidane style and just nutted him at the end.

Ball over the line and a disallowed goal because the blokes gel made his hair stick out a mile... no way the naked eye could clearly tell he was off.

Im not a fan of the way Italy played in this tournament and infact would have rather seen NZ go through, but I hate Eastern European teams.... have no doubt that the Slovaks will pack their goalmouth for their defeat to the Dutch to bore us once more.

Italy are in a similar boat to France in that their 'best generation' have all had their day and peaked. Players like Pepe, Montolivo, Iaquinta etc may be ok domestically but they are no where near the standard Italian teams have produced before.

Ill contradict myself and say fair play Slovaks though and probably one of the best final 20 minutes of the tournament so far.

Nevermind the homosexual lying writhing in the Slovak goalie after Hamsik on stared at him hard. The Italians are a cheating theatrical disgrace and I hope they get escorted out of South Africa tonight. I don't think I've ever been this glad to see the back of a team.

I expect Lippi to be sacked or have resigned by tomorrow morning (EDIT: I was unaware he was stepping down at the time I posted this, still stick with what I said though). He should have stayed away after winning IMO, the italian press will have forgotten what happened four years ago & will give him the verbal equivalent of concrete socks.

Ironic though that both finalists from last time round have crashed out this time round with no wins & at the bottom of their respective groups.

Not just that, but they also got thumped out by what could reasonably be argued as mediocre teams.

Wishing so hard right now I could speak Italian to read their papers tomorrow.

I wasn't convinced that the ball crossed the line, all of the ball has to.

The Italian guy was offside.

The defender had a leg outstretched making it very hard to tell from the camera angle they had.

Perhaps it was obvious to the linesman. That's all we can assume.
