World Cup 2010 - GROUP G (Brazil, North Korea, Ivory Coast, Portugal) **spoilers**

Well that was the first decent match I've seen so far. Fair play Brazil, well played N Korea, they did themselves really proud. There was none of this dirty simulation, trying to get players booked etc., from both sides. As I said earlier, this didn't feel at times like a 'modern' game.
 
Good solid performance by Brazil...second goal was sublime but really thought that Robinho was the man of the match for me...was making things happen. But both him and Maicon were immense tonight. Fabiano??...overrated and utterly rubbish from what i have seen of him...they were saying the last time he scored an international goal was back in Sept last yr:eek:...so whoever put him as top scorer is backing a dead donkey there...should have brought Adriano tbh.

LOL @ NKs goal tho...have to give it them unluckily they left it too late but that was some shoddy defending by the Brazilians and they should be embarrassed by that.

But it was Brazil brazil and brazil all through the game...NK could offer nothing in attack and kinda got lucky with shoddy defending to get a goal back. But dominant display by the Brazilians.

Good decent game, enjoyed it for a change...3pts in the bag for Brazil...hopefully they will thrash Ivory coast and give Portugal a good beating too.
 
Cannot fault NK considering what was expected; they held Brazil for a long, long time. They are in with half a chance against IC and Portugal if they keep it up. I am looking forward to Ronaldo getting very frustrated with them :D
 
really enjoyable match that. games like that are what the world cup should be about. no messing , no diving , no biterness , everyone just got on with it

No diving? Did you miss Robinho collapsing near the corner flag about 10 seconds after getting his face brushed?
 
Got to echo the above that NK have shown up quite how much players over-react to the slightest touch. They all stood their ground despite being physically much smaller than most of Brazil.

LOL yeh but nothing on the level that Ronaldo for Portugal was doing earlier today...diving left right and centre...i swear he was auditioning for a ballerina part.

Aye, it's gotten so bad we're used to it even outside the WC. Ronaldo was typically bad today, that's how refreshing this match really was.

Apart from Robinho at the end the Brazilian players were very honest as well. Quite sporting too, i.e. when they fouled I saw quite a few handshakes and pats on the back. Almost unnatural. :p

Exactly...i wanted to reach into the TV at one point and slap that girl Ronaldo a few times...idiot that he is....hes such a good player but resorts to stupid tactics like that....i wouldnt be surprised if Quieroz has had a few words with him about that but the refs need to start cracking down on that sort of behaviour really.

Tonights game was one of the more entertaining games probably because im a big Brazil fan so was nice to see them play some 'beautiful' football as they usually play. Just a bit concerned at their defensive error that lead to the NK goal...up till that point they looked absolutely dominant and mist have had over 80% of ball possession.
 
First entertaining match this world cup that I've watched!

Was willing the North Korea striker that was crying his eyes out during the anthem to score!
