World Cup 2010 - GROUP G (Brazil, North Korea, Ivory Coast, Portugal) **spoilers**

The Germany game players got booked for diving (the first game).

As motty and co just said Rivaldo supposely got a match ban for that, and if FIFA really want to clamp down on diving/simulation/cheating then they will make an example of him for it.

The way that yellow cards are being handed out willy nilly they should not be totted up and count towards a suspension. Red cards yes but not an accumulation of yellows.

Until referees and FIFA get hold of this pathetic simulation its going to ruin so many players dreams and weaken sides to the benefit of cheaters.

The worst thing is that Kaka is the least likely of any footballer to do anything untoward. He's a decent man and a class act, and the guy who ran into him deserves to have his testicles ripped off.

Indeed...sure he got booked on a yellow for a shove but sometimes it happens to the best of players.

But that was just pure utter lunacy from the ref...and the fact is that neither did any of the other refs see it...as the ref himself wasnt even looking at the altercation between Kaka and Keita...i was hoping that the 3rd official would have told the ref, that look Kaka isnt at fault...if he did see it that is.

Anyhow whats done is done...im more concerned at Elano's injury...that didnt look good and hopefully he will be ok for the next game against Portugal.

For me Kaka wasnt much of a difference in the match...he has one flash of brilliance which gave Brazil their 3rd goal but other than that he wasnt that influential on the game...am sure Brazil will cope with out him.

I thought the drama at the end was great :D I was hoping for a big punch up :D

LOL it almost ended up being that way at one point...i was beginning to think that this is getting out of control lol.

Still surprised that Drogba didnt do his stupid disgrace rant..that would have been awesome if he had lol

Just watched replay at the BBC... Keita wasn't looking where he was going and he jogged into Kaka half pace and then fell to the floor clutching his face. It's utterly ridiculous.

Football really needs to adapt to include some kind of video replay for this kind of thing. You can't red card someone if you and the other officials didn't see anything, and it's not like any of the players will give a fair assessment of what happened.

See the Aussie game yesterday? After Kewells handball he was telling the ref to look at the big screen lol

that ref was poor though, fabianos handball then he appeared to ask him or suggest he used his arm so he must have seen it?

God that sending off was an absolute shambles. Kaka not looking at all, referee and assistant not looking, just how the **** is he sending someone off there?

All because of that oscar winning performance by Keita tbh....i mean its quite convincing isnt it??...compared to Rivaldos one a few yrs back...this one takes the biscuit.

Something like that should involve video replays in all honesty...especially when you dont have any other refs backing it up.

Oh well im just happy Brazil got the 3 pts because if IC had scored and drawn or won the match then i would have been livid.

Thing is, I'm not entirely sure if Kaka did something in the random stuff that went on afterwards.

The guy diving holding his face was pathetic, but lets be honest a lot of Brazilians did it, even Lucio seemed to massively over react to almost nothing, writhing around in "pain" and fine 3 seconds later.

Likewise asides from the double handball for Fabiano's goal, he went down about 5 times in the game with little to no contact and did the "i'm dying help help" flapping about on the floor, just to sit up ask if its a card and go back to the flapping about. He got someone a yellow card doing this, and someone got Kaka a yellow for doing that, to be honest, not completely unfair.

The difference is Kaka had utterly stupidly gotten a first yellow for shoving a guy trying to stand up for entirely no reason whatsoever, he was just being a complete ****. He rather deserved it though that still doesn't excuse the guy pretending he got whacked in the face.

Overall Brazil "cheated" far far far more than Ivory Coast, neither teams came out of that game bathed in glory and both should be ashamed. Though its worth noting the nasty tackle(though seemingly accidental) on someone Drogba came over and had a go at his team mate that did it which was somewhat nice to see.

Overall okay game, though would have been nice to see how it went without Fabiano's second truly awful goal, which was followed, quite disgracefully by the ref joking with Fabiano about it being a handball, it was two clear as day handballs, how the linesman or ref didn't see either, but then to joke about it right there on the pitch is unbelievable, absolutely unbelievable.

Bad ref, bad Kaka, awful Keita, bad guy who tackled Elano, fairly poor Ivory Coast, not great Brazil, meh.

I was posting as you posted that, I mentioned it, absolutely awful, two clear as day handballs and the ref gives the goal and jokes about it afterwards, awful, astonishingly bad. How that goal was given I don't know, how he can joke about it, infront of Ivory Coast players after he's screwed them completely I can't even comprehend.

I thought it was Elano who was doing the tackling? He slid in with some pace and connected with the IC player (was it Tioto??) who was also going for the ball

Yep...it was just an unfortunate tackle from Elano...the IC guy didnt mean to kick his leg from what i saw...just rather unfortunate.

Yeah Elano did slide into a 50-50 challenge but he didn't have his studs raised. Tioto on the other hand went in studs showing and should have probably been shown a red. The ref was shockingly bad in that game, probably the most inept refereeing performance at the world cup so far. To joke about the handball with Fabiano and actually ask him if he handballed it, that's just comically poor. Fifa should make an example of both Keita and the ref in my opinion by booting the ref out of the tournament and banning Keita for a few games.

I hope Kaka gets the card rescinded, thats the first entertaining midfield run game I've seen (despite the flaws), and it'd be a shame if he's suspended.
