Has no one been watching ESPN classic, I mean, at all, theres constant footage of world cup games.
Theres clear as day awful diving(even worse than todays) from the time they started filming.
Unsurprisingly there was a truly embarassing game with a few Germans who constantly went down, we're talking the mid 70's. I cant' actually remember which game I was watching a bit of when I saw quite literally the worst dives I've EVER seen, I think it was a Spanish game to be honest.
People who say people didn't used to dive or cheat are out of their god damned minds.
Watch some old world cup footage, theres dozens of players at it, at every single world cup.
CHeating has been part of ALL sport since sport was created. Drogba's a pretty bad cheat, but someone diving on the pitch doesn't in any way teach kids to go out and commit murders.
The most impressive thing he did was arrange to play the game in the "rebel" area of Ivory Coast to try and help calm everyone down and have people get together in a non violent way, as well as building schools and being a generally decent guy off the pitch.
I also don't generally see him punching or stabbing, getting drunk and beating people up on the pitch. There are dozens of truly terrible role models out on our football pitches, actual thugs, criminals, rapists, women beating pratts who seem to get ignored because they are English, but we lay into any foreigner who dives like its the worst sin in the world.
Barton, Marlon King, they make Drogba look like a damned saint. Ok no one sticking up for either of them, but half our national squad cheat in most games they play, and several of them have been involved in a lot of not pleasant stuff off the field.
Cheating, play acting........... rape, beatings, generally being a chav, trying to scam more money, taking money to throw games, flat out assault ON the pitch let alone off it, pretending they are close to each other is just daft.

I can't see them doing much but could the other teams take them lightly?

Seems like its a left collarbone injury...gutted for Nani though...decent player who Portugal will definitely miss.
Portugal have got no strikers and Ronaldo have never recreated his club form at international level. Ivory Coast, just like most teams, were rubbish at this year's ACN.
If North Korea can fluke the odd goal and get some team spirit going, I think they could finish 2nd in their group. I think they've got a much better chance than the 16/1 odds suggest.
Fabiano for golden boot looks good though if you want to hedge your bets.

he only plays well when he has good players around him. i can see him scoring a couple but no more than that, unless they play him up front, which is a strong possibility.

Well hoping Portugal win this one as i need them to win as part of my accumilator...so far Italy, Cameroon and Slovakia have screwed me up so i need Portugal to win, Brazil to win and tommorrow Chile and Spain to win...if any of those results go against me im done lol.
