World Cup 2010 - GROUP G (Brazil, North Korea, Ivory Coast, Portugal) **spoilers**

Some Brazilians just seem to play better for the national team, it seems that Robinho definitely saves his best for Brazil as he's usually brilliant for Brazil and indifferent at his clubs

Rubbish really, he only started 6 games for City and got 3 assists, played 9 for Santos and scored 5. Considering thats coming back from a fairly long run of multiple injuries and receiving constant criticism, unfairly, thats not exactly terrible form to start with, considering he's a winger first and foremost at City and Real.

The previous season for city, he started 30 games, scored 14 and got 5 assists, he was WELL on course to be the top goal scorer that season by midway through, he had been brilliant in most of his games and was one of the top 5-6 players in the league up till....... he took an injury and had an unlucky run of injuries. LIkewise his stats for Real aren't mindblowing, but fairly decent for a winger to say the least.

27 starts, 11 goals, 8 assists in his last season at Real. If you could point out where he was ACTUALLY bad at club level rather than mercilessly criticised for not hacking away at players as he didn't track back.

As he got injured and simply wasn't playing, people just ignored how well he had been when he was playing and started talking about how lazy he was, which was rubbish. Heck, despite missing a large chunk of the season and coming back seemingly not fit and in a stop start manner, he ended the season as one of the highest scoring players in the league and the top few wingers, not really sure how that can be classed as a bad season, 14 goals.

Its amazing how myth can turn into reality without a single shred of truth to it, as with other players before the press/fans turn on a player because some moronic pundit/reporter came up with some utter rubbish about his performance, wound the player up till he wanted to leave and now City look almost certain to lose one of the best wingers they've ever had and one of the highest scoring players they've had for years.

I think portugal will bring brazil back down to earth I am convinced this brazil squad isn't as amazing as everyone (mainly the media) are making them out to be.

I am going for a 1-1 draw.

"Dunga's nickname is Portuguese for "Dopey", the smallest of the Seven Dwarfs (Dunga's uncle gave him this nickname when he believed that he would never grow to a tall stature)."

There's a line between embracing an abuse and loss of self esteem as a result of it. But fair play, I never knew that's what 'Dunga' meant :p

Mick McCarthy... Noooooooo!!!![/QUOTE]

Reduced to listening to out-of-synch radio commentary again - anything's better than listenening to his voice - why couldn't they stick him on the other match?
