thank goodness justice is done Spain 1-0 Paraguay.

Even better the goal was actually a really good move by Spain. There has been so few of these overall i am so glad a team who are capable of creating play which is enjoyable to watch make it through to the semis.

So now they have to take on the german counterattackers. Praying for a Spain v Holland final for sake of entertainment value please
 
If Germany defend mainly and pack their half and just try to catch spain on the break...maybe. Spain defence is a bit stronger than Argentina's.
 
I really don't understand the people saying Germany are boring?

I've enjoyed them in the games they've been playing, certainly enjoyed it today - Seems as if all the pundits did too, confused!

Crazy 2nd half lol...a clueless ref who wasnt consistent at all with the penalties and some sloppy play by Paraguay which led to Villa scoring although that was a pretty crazy goal to say the least...hit the post 3 times before it went in:p.

Gotta say that Spain really need to pick up their game for Germany...they look awesome in possession but thats all they have done and havent scored many goals...Torres is just completely and utterly dire and i think Spain need to give him the flick...hes had far too many chances to make himself known but hasnt done much ie missed a few easy sitters in previous games. Fabregas everytime hes come on has made a difference...tonight he made a difference...Spain are definitely a very different team when hes on the pitch. As for Casillas??...geezus hes been shocking in goal...tonight he almost gifted them a goal and even in the previous games hes looked extremely shaky...been lucky though to get away with it.

Feel sorry for Paraguay but really they should have scored that penalty and just lol at busquets for giving him the penalty lol.

Should hopefully be a cracker for Wed semi...looking forward to that and i again hoping that Spain put a few past the Germans.
 
I think Germany will beat Spain, the Germans counterattacking style of play perfectly counters the Spainish style of pressure. Spain always seem to get caught on the break and that is Germanys strong point.
 
Spain will have the majority of possession against Germany, just like every team who plays them have so far, but I'd be surprised if Spain are able to break Germany down and will probably concede goals on the counter just like Argentina and England have so far.
 
Don't think Germany will score a lot, the question is do Spain have the quality to break down the German defence? I don't think so. Schweinsteiger to have a blinder and Germany to hit them hard on the break.
 
I'm not quite so convinced Germany will beat Spain. They ought to but I've got a horrible feeling I'm going to be watching Holland (whose current generation of players I seriously dislike in general) against Spain.
