To state the obvious, I don't think Capello is/was to blame for the England team's performance.

We all know the players in the team can pass, finish, etc. yet for some reason, in this tournament, they couldn't do any of them.

I would like Capello to go back to the FA and discuss elevating the under 21s to full international status, and tell his current crop to GTFO.

I'm not being funny, but why are they looking at the England analysis during a Mexico/Argentina game :(

Because the BBC is completely England orrientated?

Always has been always will be?

Just any oppurtunity to talk about England.....

Sadly during the start of the South Korea Uraguay game they showed Englands probable line up

Agreed. Most games I've watched have been wrecked with meaningless comparisons, talk of previous games etc.

I find it funny these days. It makes the english commentators stick out like sycophants.

Blatter has come out and said that he is still against technology and that as bad as the decision was, football is all about drama!! :D

Argies tearing the Mexicans a new one by the looks of it...2-0 and now in the 2nd half.

And lets stop with the England game...its done and over with lol...

Argiees to win and im quids in today:D:D

Capello is responsible for motivating the team and playing the team to their strengths.

He's also responsible to getting the best out of the players and the team that he has available.

Leaving Matthew Upson on, who yes may have scored a goal but oterwise had a torrid time. Taking off Jermain Defoe, who was arguably one of England's best players today, and replacing him with Emile Heksey when you need goals is an absolutely ridiculous decision.

Heskey last scored for England against Kazakhstan in 2009 and got a whopping 3 goals for Villa in over 30 games last season.

He took off Johnson, who made some sloppy mistakes but put on Wright-Phillips with 5 minutes to go, and played him as a Right Wing Back.

My personal feelings of Peter Crouch aside, he's been prolific for England and Defoe always looks lively when he plays.

If Rooney is having a shocking tournament, and his form is terrible... you replace him. Wayne may be the best forward in the Premier League right now but if he's out of form... you only have a handful of games to get going in the World Cup.... you cannot waste it.

Capello made awful decisions during the World Cup. The team played crap, no doubt about it... but Capello certainly didn't help.
