World Cup 2010 - Semi-finals **spoilers**

Off Topic:

I know we're frowned upon in here but when is Linoge (Paddy Dave) going to be made a a Man of Honour for all his hard work in the SA?

Or whatever the other little title is (can't for the life of me remember what it is)

Don't make me start a campaign!!!!!!

Seconded! Howard became an MoH a few years ago so we're not totally left in the cold, just mostly ignored. :D

Regardless of who wins tonight in spain v germany i just hope they kick ass out of Dutch in the finals,i am so pi**ed at them knocking out a Brazil team because of officials being told
not to book the dutch because 11 of their players were yellow carded.

Spain vs Holland will likely be a fairly bland boring easy win for Spain

Surely though if you think that Spain will have an easy win over Holland, then you must think that Germany, who have been playing considerably better than Spain, would be a totally one sided final with only the slim chance of a fight being vaguely interesting.

I want Spain in the final, for several reasons, including it being a slightly more balanced final plus I think it would be cool to have 2 nations in the final who are both trying for their first ever World Cup win.

(aside from that my ancestry is Spanish (from my grandparents backwards) so I will be steadfastedly cheering Spain on :) )

Source to this remark?

Here it is I think...

Sepp Blatter said:
You there, referee...get those Brazilians out of the tournament at all costs. Oh and while you are at it, we are going to be introducing 5 more touchline officials instead of technology and to appeal more to the affluent american market all freekicks will now be called Kickoffs and all throw-ins will now be called Throw-backs

LOL as much as that made me laugh...its kinda true...look at last night and that cheating little scumbag Van Bommel who seems to be teflon-esque in his ability not to get yellow cards although he did get one at the end...which really says it all:rolleyes:...same with Robben...as much as i admire him as a player...i loathe his diving and i dont blame Melo for stamping on him...if it was me i would have stamped on his nuts the big wuss that Robben is.

But saying that, no one can blame anyone but the Brazilians...they played utter utter cack in the second half...first half they were immense and should have been up 2-3 goals but geez i dont know what happened at HT because when they came out...they totally went off the boil and gave up 2 soft goals via rubbish set piece defending.

Hopefully he will pull a hamstring in training before the final if Spain beat the Germans tonight.

Torres to come off the bench and score the winner :)

remember Elano didn't come back trough previous injury, which lead to that crappy Daniel Alves coming on,although it's not an excuse but the officials did cause the brazilians to loose their cool.

Spain have made the right choice dropping Torres. How it's taken this long I'll never know because it's blindingly obvious he's not match fit.

Good to see Pedro playing. He has a fabulous knack of being in the right place at the right time and is a genuinely very good finisher.
