No they didn't. Germany have overrun the midfield of every team they've played but Spain played a similar formation and had the quality to keep the ball away from them. Germany got beaten by superior players in midfield not because they played any differently or worse.

Every match I've watched with Spain included has been awful. Was really hoping for a Holland v Germany final. Gutted.
