World Cup Group F (Australia, Brazil, Croatia, Japan) **SPOILERS**

I thought the convicts were very lucky to get any more than a draw from their opening game.
Your not the only one.
They may have had more of the ball but they never knew what to do with it and they played like crap.
Hopefully they play good and like they normally do today :)

Brazil were pretty lackluster.
The only shining stars of their performances were Lucio & Kaka.
All the rest, including the much hyped goofy, didnt exactly do much. Not through lack of trying though.
I agree with Leonardo (BBC) when he says that Brazils star of this tournament will be Kaka. He doesnt have the same pressure on him as Goofy to perform.

Brazil's great strength is their quick movement and quick passing, it is tried and tested over many generations and it is a proven method for them. What we saw against Croatia is when players get picked on their reputation, not on merit. Ronaldo has been poor for R.Madrid and looks a player who just doesn't care anymore, the hunger is gone. It showed against Croatia. Ronaldinho and Kaka would moving but Adriano/Ronaldo were static thus making it very easy to mark them out of the game and that is where Brazil's play started to look predictable and they couldn't get their fluid passing game going.

Don't blame Ronnie for what happened, as he was constantly trying but there is a constant saying in football that the midfielders didn't do enough to support the strikers but in this case it was the strikers didn't support the midfield. Movement up top creates space, no movement = no space....

Brazil need to up their game, but they didn't get out of first gear in their first game. Mostly because they didn't really need to. I think they'll take it fairly easy against the cons but they'll do as much as they need to.

Pen to Croatia. Looked a little harsh.

Agreed, i do hope the brazilians turn up for this game especially ronaldo...needs to start making more of an effort imho. Hardly did anything in the last game and i wasnt surprised that Parreira subbed him.
After what the argies did the other day, brazil need to put in a good performance for a start.

Can't see Ronaldo starting after the last game.

Might play Adriano up top on his own with Ronnie, Kaka, Robinho and Ze Roberto supporting and Emerson holding.

Hmmm well according to what has been said, Parreira is still going to start him unless he makes a last minute change. This might be Ronaldo's last chance to prove to the brazilian coach that he deserves to be in the team and deserves to start.

Personally i would give ronaldo the benefit of the doubt....start him and see how much effort he actually puts in, fingers crossed he might have a decent game today...if not sub him and leave him on the bench for the remaining games is my opinion. If he isnt going to give his all for the team then he shouldnt be there tbh.

EDIT: According to the bbc wc site he is starting

Pleat is a kerb-crawling moron, he won't shut up when you just want to concentrate on the football. I hope Japan can get something out of this, I like the way they are playing, they've been caught short too many times though

Hopefully the Brazil match later will be a cracker :D

Dida - not bad
Cafu - past it
Lucio - decent
Juan - never heard of him
Roberto Carlos - past it
Emerson - past it
Ze Roberto - past it
Kaka - brilliant
Ronaldinho -brilliant
Ronaldo - useless
Adriano - can be very good but too inconsistent

they're not that great on paper, they'll probably win the world cup anyway though.
Could be interesting against Australia who have an excellent coach.
