No, but I expect our Journalists to go complete to town on FIFA now. I think the only option is either to join in the corruption, which our press won't allow us to do, or force FIFA to clean up their process, much like the IOC had to.

I can see this happening too. All signs point to the corruption allegations as the reason for us losing the bid, what have our journalists got to lose by investigating further?

What is the point in the presentations? They seem to have little to no bearing on what happens at all.

Would like to see the reasons Fifa chose Russia. Only 2 decent teams in the whole country. high crime,weak transport infrastructure and in some cases none at all, cold weather and they just dont deserve it.../rant over

I've not been following it all too much, but I seem to remember a lot of things working against Russia in the last few months. Given their presentation being good but not great, I fail to see how they have been able to turn 3rd/4th place in to 1st.

Much the same could be said of South Africa (bar the weather, although it was winter) and they did OK.

1) Russia whining they havnt hosted a WC before.
2) Russia saying they'r going 'to turf the entire country'
3) Russia will have to improve the things you've stated
