cant see why there have been posts by people getting a bit worked up. we're through to the next round at a very leisurely pace and never really had to play hard.
 
Hopefully Lennon at the end was enough for Sven to release he is the most dangerous player England have at the moment. Rather than Beckham who does nothing for the game. Ok he scored from a freekick, but think about how many he wasted. If they had been good crosses (don't even need to be amazing, just good) we could have scored a couple.

I'm hoping that goal will give him some confidence to do something usefull.

Lampard...... words don't even describe his performance.

Thumbs up for the Coles and Gerrard, Carrick was solid too

They still have a lot of work ahead of them though! Rooney and A.Cole were tops
 
Far from convinced with the performance again.

I still don't like the role of Rooney up front on his own. They talk about how fantastic Rooney was in the second half on his own but I prefer there being another stiker up front for him to play alongside.

But can we step it up when we have to? My bet is no.
 
The thing is, can we handle the pressure? Can we come back from 1-0 down? Because so far the performances in this WC suggest a massive no.
 
Sven is CRAP.

Gerrard and Lampard are playing awful. Beckham is sick. I know, why not bring off England's best player - Joe Cole. Yes, I can see the damn logic behind that.

Then they opt for the Italian "grab one and defend" thing which is the WORST tactic in any sport. Ecuador got a spell of about 90% posession, and quite honestly they deserved to score.

Then he brings on Downing. FFS, if you're going to time waste give Walcott a chance.

EDIT: On another note, can we please have a geeks only thread because I'm really getting tired of people posting stuff throughout the game. Get off the computer and watch the ******* game PLEASE.

Ditto, we maybe are getting caught up with the media overhype giving us unrealistic expectations, we won, the hype continues :cool:
