World in Conflict to be released on the 21st September 2007

Sierra Entertainment has announced a September 21st 2007 release date for the PC version of its highly anticipated real-time strategy epic World In Conflict, a game that will revolutionise multiplayer strategy gaming forever.



The World in Conflict July BETA Test Event will showcase:
* Two multiplayer maps: 'Home Town' and 'Farmland'
* One multiplayer map EXCLUSIVE to pre-order customers: 'Riviera'
* Multiplayer matches hosting from 1v1 to 8v8 games
* Tutorial mission

New Features in the World in Conflict July BETA Test Event since the June Closed Beta Event Include:
* Clan Matches are now enabled
* Clan Ladder/Ranking is now enabled
* Replays are now enabled
* Player-uploaded graphics on vehicles now enabled
* Performance enhancements have been made
* A multitude of tweaks and polish
* Major updates have been done to voice and sound files
* DX10 features are now enabled
 
Still crap fps, 40fps... unless its at a really high res, but looks like DX10 finally is shining, if this demo is laggy on my system I now know what I need to do.
 
Are we sure the guy that posted those vids isnt just running in DX9 but thinking cos he has a DX10 card that it's gonna be dx10?

Seeing as how the beta supporting DX10 hasn't been released yet I doubt he has access to it.

If it is DX10 then it's nice to see it running on something over 15fps or whatever COJ got with either card.

Lol its only 10am I think it wont be available for download untill like 2pm UK time.
 
I dont even know why I was surprised I knew since yesterday when they changed the date they were going to do it today, and its gonna happen again tomorrow.

40fps is more than enough for a RTS the fps will be capped around that anyway

He said he was running it in DX10.
 
Its not a shock, This from official page

Sierra Entertainment invites PC gamers worldwide to join in the E3 2007 celebration by offering access to the World in Conflict July BETA Test Event. The event will kick off on the first day of E3 - 11th of July - and will run through to the end of the month

So my guess is that even if the client was available today there wouldnt be any servers to play on until tomorrow. 1 more sleep till conflict :p
