***World of Warcraft : Warlords of Draenor***

After about a year away I'm looking at coming back in time for Legion. I've been doing a bit of reading up on changes since last played and found something about glyphs being removed. Is this true? Will all my stats and talents be reset when I log in again. Even though I've played WoW since it's release I always feel like I'm on a massive learning curve when I come back :)

yes to all.

Icy Veins is a decent site to check out for whichever class / spec you play and will help you down the right path :)

Been playing WOW again for about 6 months, got a Lock to level 100 in readyness for Legion, been keeping an eye on the DPS rankings and healing ranking for Legion 110 with Artifacts for Raiding.

Lock's Destruction seems to be the better consistent spec, and Affliction apparently has its moments, i started off as Afflcition when levelling and switched to Destruction recently, will probably go back to Afflcition as i prefer the style of their Artifact, but i may stay Destruction. Demonology is not great, i tried it and it does not suit my playstyle.

Also levelled a Paladin to 100 to give me an alternative playstyle, looking forward to getting an Ashbringer in Retri, i also read they arent bad dps wise for raids but bring little utility.

Made the obligatory DH, dont really like the playstyle, doubt i will play it in Legion even as an alt.

Currently levelling a Rogue, the Outlaw spec has some decent fun visuals, but Rogue as a class is far too twitchy for my liking, i prefer a range dps style.

I am told that Fire Mage is topping DPS charts in Legion and Arcane is not bad either, tempted to roll another Mage (I already have a 100 mage on another server).

a lot of the driving factor of what to play in Legion for me personally is the Artifacts, as its the only weapon you use for the entire expansion, its visuals and effects play a big part, Scythe for Affliction lock looks superb, and the Staff for Destruction has some good skins etc, tough choice :)

Tempted to also level a Druid to 100 also before Legion arrives, purely to give me the option of a healer, i can use my Paladin as a tank / DPS, and my Lock as pure dps :)

Another thing, if you got any lvl100's lying around poorly geared, do the invasions for the ilvl700 gear, its fairly quick to gear up.

Cool, this is the thread it seems :)

I jumped on out of bordom and started a new Orc Rogue, what I used to be back in vanilla, TBC, WotlK and then I moved to a lock in panda days.

I moved all my chars to alliance, now I've made this orc, I needed some quick cash. To my utter surprise, when I announced as a level 12 orc rogue in Oggy "Just resubbed, no horde characters, can I borrow 10g or can someone buy me a bag or 2?"...

Suddenly to be followed by 1 man giving me 1k gold without so much as a 'good luck' from him. And another giving me 400g and a few frostweave bags...

I am now hooked again, it feels good playing rogue. I am nervous for one thing though, LFG... I know it will take me weeks of casual play to get to 100. Unless I do dungeons. But I really don't want to ruin the game for me.

I hate the idea of skipping areas with content in it just to level faster. I don't mind a dungeon here and there though.

Wish they removed that feature :(

Anyway, if anyone is on defias brotherhood as a horde, hit me up. My name is Macnamara in game.

If you do each dungeon once and complete the quests you will gain around 1.5 to 2 levels per dungeon pre say 40, after that it slows down a bit, I use dungeons as a filler between gathering herbs and questing.

If you don't want to level too quick don't use heirlooms either

Haha! thats why I quit back in the day. They have reworks pally tanks again and its stupidly easy now. Currently leveling one to 100 to join my friends with legion.

I looked at the icy veins guide to protection spec and there only looks to be about 4 skills a Pala tank needs to use! I can see how that's easy :D

Nope, if you start doing garrison stuff you'll be tempted to unsub :p

Was good for free gold but those missions are gone now...

I'm just grinding the invasions for the best gear i can get with the least time put into it.

Edit... Every time i say "i'm done with wow" , and here i am, back again, i feel like a dirty addict!

Isn't that a contradiction? invasion gear will probably be replaced early on in expansion so I wouldn't bother.

I'm limited in play-time at the moment with kids and work, so invasions are quick and give better rewards vs time taken to dungeons atm. No doubt i'll be wearing barely any of this at Level 101
