Still not had a gn response to my character being stuck under the world and dead
Hopefully server maintenance 4am-10am will fix it mate.
I think that they actually did a genuinely good job with the expansion/client itself (aside a couple issues with phase zones) will be overlooked because of the lack of hindsight when it comes to the server capacity
While the userbase remains quite large and robust, there are many big fish sharing the pond with WoW these days, the denial of service attack (even if partially self-inflicted) does not change the fact they were not prepared for the turnout (10 years and several expansions later)
As for 2 hour queues.. thats your daily play quota for the majority of players, they'll be looking to remedy that in a hurry, especially off the back of an underwhelming blizzcon and before 10th anniversary
Those vanilla pups (younger demographic) that could toss hours away on this at a whim have all grown up
Between digital sales, their store and the franchise as a whole they make a fortune off this still (the subs alone cover the development/cost of running the game) to have made provisions to prevent this sort of thing happenning

Maintenance includes hardware upgrades and bug fixes but most noticeably they are implementing the phasing technique they use in the first zone Tanaan jungle on the garrison and other zones.
Don't know about you guys but Tanaan was flawless for me, Infact most of WoD is with the exception of Garrison and the close proximity areas.
So far I'm loving it, seeing all the old Orc names from previous expansions is a nice touch, getting all the little bits of treasure and killing the silver mobs is fun and a nice exp boost
And when I have been able to use my garrison it's been fun, I actually have 3 followers now of which 2 are epic quality. And I have both my profession buildings from quest lines, although only tailoring built
The quality of this expansion is brilliant it's just the execution so far that let it down, but I will give a loss their dues, rather than their normal silence it seems we are getting almost hourly updates on the state of play which imho is good to see, atleast it shows they are trying

Incidentally I don't know what the rush to 100 is we have almost 3 weeks before the first raid, enjoy the levelling I know i am, I'm still only 91 but I have only played a few hours last night and Thursday night but I feel exp moves at a decent pace
An hour early! Got up at 9:45 and in a 1300 queue, gah!
Indeed, just got the flight patch back into the Garrison, theres 2 other people stuck on top of me on the gryphons... =/ sigh. Just getting the whole "instance not found" .. well I had a good hour of questing and a dungeon at least lol

No, but I've never been much in to raiding. It's too much of a time sink and I just didn't (and still don't) have enough time or interest. I did plenty of dungeons and a fair amount of PvP.
