Hi all,

Im looking to play some world war two games, I previously had a gaming pc in early 2000s and loved all the world war two games cod original and cod two along with medal of honour.

I'm curious if there are currently any world war two games around now as iv recently got back to pc gaming and would like to play some

doesn't matter about the genre fps,rts id just like to have a go back in this genre
 
Highly recommend Red Orchestra2/Rising Storm my favourite FPS on the PC at the moment.

Warthunder is free to play combat fighter plane game they recently added tanks.

Heros & Generals another free to play game with infantry and vehicle combat.

Call of duty World & war is great fun its based in the Pacific Ocean theater of World War II

Company of Heroes 2: I have not played it myself, but its meant to be a good RTS game.

you better of getting some of the golden oldie on . many are still played in quite high numbers.

Don't listen to DG (as per). RO2 was severely lacking on launch but now is one of the best MP shooters out.

its dead. games like cod 1 has more players thats ten years old and still better in every way.

red orchestra launched failed then died about month after launch. 6 months in when i checked at peak time there was 200 online LOL.

check any of those i linked to. thousands are playing early cods which are great games.

Maybe you should recheck. Lots more than 200 playing.

Rising Storm/ RO2 are definitely better if you want more tactical based gameplay.
 
Dead ? do you even own the game? I played it every week and never have issues finding servers? 200 players peak time is a load of BS

COD 2 has always been my favourite of the series, COD 4 was still good but wasn't as good, after that, all things COd have gone downhill.

I always wanted to get into it but I just got lost in what was what and ended up getting muddled up and failing... Wasn't a simply layout. But then, I never was any good at RTS's

I'll admit CoH takes a little getting used to but once you get a handle on the basics you start to enjoy it.

as for COD 2 I may search around for my copy and start a game or 2
