world war two games

its dead. games like cod 1 has more players thats ten years old and still better in every way.

red orchestra launched failed then died about month after launch. 6 months in when i checked at peak time there was 200 online LOL.

check any of those i linked to. thousands are playing early cods which are great games.

There's like 2,000 - 4,000 playing every night. Not sure what you're on about. Best developers by far as well for giving everybody free game of the year edition for free after admitting a bodged launch. Have you ever seen Cod or BF do the same?

Anybody who's interested, there's a good group of people on the Last Stand UK Campaign server and on most nights with a teamspeak server. Everybody is welcome to join the russian resistance! :D

yes there is more playing now why ?

cause they gave away free red orchestra 2 on steam not long ago :p

before that the player count was like 200 players.

anyways play what you want cod 1/uo still better :D (medal of honor is class aswell ) ;)

Visit the link I sent earlier, you can set the stats to a year and see that the activity has stayed very similar (Except for the massive amount on the weekend)

What about Day of Defeat. I have not played it for years but the original mod for Half-Life was great and I remember the Source version being good fun but it might not be great by today's standards.

You clearly didn't visit the link of stats, the only time it ever goes down to that sort of level is if you're trying to play at 5 oclock in the morning in the middle of the week.

It's an irrelevant statistic anyway, there are plenty of full servers in the evening and plenty of life in a 3 year old game.

Red Orchestra 2 is immensely fun; steep learning curve but you can really get in to it.

As was mentioned above, the old games are still golden. It's a shame there's not many WW2 games being released anymore, I miss that genre haha.

All of this.

I got really bored of BF3 and BF4 and have started going back to RO2/RS. Superb game. That being said, I absolutely love WW2 games, MoHAA, H&D, the early CoDs, CoH. Can't get enough, its just a shame one of the "big boys" hasn't released a WW2 game in a while.

nothing better than watching band of brothers or saving private ryan then loading up a ww2 game with a sniper :D

I agree - I'd love to see DICE do a genuine remake of BF1942 or something. I'd love to play the Battle of Britain map again on the frostbite engine. Especially since BF1942 isn't going to be around for much longer :(

War Thunder if you like WW2 era planes.
RTCW as well as my all time favourite: Enemy territory.
MOH:Allied assault
Company of Heroes
Oh please please remake BF1942. I want to play my Philippines map again!
