Worst car you've ever driven

daewoo matiz

gearshift felt like it was attached to a suet pudding. all horrible and wallowy.

And it really did feel like the pedals werent attaching to anything.

By far the most hatefull car ive ever driven, and thats including Corsa Cs and even a Kia Picanto.

Seconded. Had one as a 'courtesy' car whilst mine was in for a service - went to work half an hour earlier just so no one would see me arrive. Really was the worst thing I've ever guided down a road.

Vectra (B) 2.2 LS. Dullest car I've ever driven - boring interior, poorly equipped, engine sounds like a diesel, and a perfect example of 'handles like a boat'. So glad it's not mine :).

Not driven a huge amount of cars in my life, but there are two which are equal for me (probably because they are basically the same car underneath)

a 1.5 diesel Pug 106 and a 1.1 petrol Cit Saxo.

The reasons were the same both times, far far too cramped to drive comfortably and my size 12 shoes literally pressed the brake and clutch at the same time :)

Also, that 1.6 Renault engine was terrible (dunno about the more modern ones), I really couldnt believe how slow it was when a mate gave me a lift somewhere in his 99' Megane!

Not a car but a
Massey Ferguson 165
No power steering, your 1 foot away from the rear wheels with little guards, no roll bar, metal seat with no suspension, very heavy breaks/clutch.
And these were very good for there time!

By contrast every car i've driven has been pure luxury!

Borrowed my colleagues 54' plate Audi A3 1.9TDI to go to London in last year.

While maybe it was'nt the worst car to drive it was without a doubt the most uncomfortable. By the time I'd done the 160 or so miles it felt like I'd been repeatadly kicked in the anus by horse, couldnt believe how hard it was.

Morris Marina

Borrowed one of these once (handpainted in a vile shade of blue) and the biggest problem (apart from the relentless grinding noise from the engine bay) was that I had NO idea whether it was going to understeer, oversteer, or both. Only car I've driven that was as wayward this was a Mk3 Astra.

Yer the french just havnt got a clue on design or engineering!

I will never ever own a french car!

No, the French haven't got a clue about engineering. They never came up with the Traction Avant, the DS, the 205 GTI, the R26 Megane, the Clio Cup, the Bugatti Type 35, the Renault Alipne etc etc etc

For me it has to be a Citroen C3 hire car on holiday, first hire car ever.

Absolutely rubbish - engine was tiny, gutless and barely got up the hills, no steering feedback, nothing. Didnt dare test it out properly...

Oh, and it only had 40,000km and the interior was trashed - "Silver" plastic parts were worn through to the black plastic underneath, gearstick numbers had almost gone - just a heap of junk all round.

I'd never buy a Citroen, and positively insist on hire cars *not* being a Citroen now.
