Worst console port ever?

I wish I'd known about those patches before i played the game AWPC. It does make the game a lot better. I did put on AA which did improve my experience. Personally I didn't mind using a PS2 pad to play the game. I was already used to the aiming system as I'd played through a bit of the game on the PS2

I think Halo 1 at the time was very badly coded. My PC wasn't the best but FPS wise it struggled greatly.

+1 for Lost Planet. I bought it a few weeks ago, and its customised crontrol suck the nads of a smelly monkey.
These 'Games for Windows' all shows the same control screen that the 360 dashboard does and i don't likes it, not one little bit!

install the 1.1 patch (i think it's that) for RE4, and there's a .ini file you can edit to choose a custom res

and play it with a 360pad, feels 'wrong' to play that type of game with a pad, but it's designed to be played that way (much like Gears of War) and you'll enjoy it a lot more this way

Yep RE4 is awesome once fully patched and using the gfx mods. Definately the best version by far and feels like a new game experience. I completed it again twice in the summer on my 40" HDTV:D

^This^

Struggled through this game only for it to finally die completely at the very end. Gave up in disgust. It's probably the only game I haven't bothered finishing.
Double Agent on the PC is actually the best version but you need a 360 controller + xpadder for the best gameplay experience. I have it on 360 as well and that has terrible screen tearing due to no vsync and long loading times.

Also bought it for PS3 but sold it quickly for no £ loss as the PS3 version is a huge POS. 10-15FPS + lacks almost all the atmospheric Shader FX for smoke & lighting which the PC + 360 had. And also lacks the basic bump mapping on all glass textures. Really is dire on PS3.

PC version once patched with a gamepad or even just KB + mouse is very good as the gfx are the best of any version and loading times are also a lot less than console.

Can I put HL2 in aswell ;) maybe not a port but definetly suffered for being a joint 360 game, stupid Striders requiring Rocket hits only ;(

What? HL2 was never made with the consoles in mind, the 360 weren't even out at HL2's release! Even the original Xbox version was released a significantly long time after the PC version. The PC version was, and still is considered one of the pinnacles of PC gaming, and anyone who says it's been affected or dumbed by console variations couldn't possibly be more wrong - especially if you're attributing said weak links to striders requiring rockets only, man I can't even make the connection to consoles with that.

In fact, the 360 version sports the updated Source engine to the original HL2 game, something that has yet to be implemented on the PC version (but is seen in Orange Box games).

lol joint 360 game.

Why would you shoot a Strider with anything other than a rocket launcher? Would you have prefered it if they'd stuck an energy bar above its head so you could've finished it off with an uppercut?
