I just hope to $DEITY that he's playing with the thing locked on 16Q AA and 16AiF, or that GTX is having it far far FAR too easy.

With 16/16 (or if you use nhancer and the right drivers, you can have 32x supersampling AA). even 1024 can look nice....might even use the GPU a bit too

When you say "ridiculous fps", do you mean rediculously high FPS, or rediculously low FPS?
If rediculously high, why do you want a new gfx card anyway - surely there'd be no benefit? If rediculously low, why is everyone telling you to get a bigger monitor?

I presume you just have the itch to upgrade - IMO, don't bother until you might actually notice the difference..!

Go for that 24" man, i bought one last week, the quality is stunning, the improvement in picture quality and graphically over my 22" samsung is stunning.

Who cares about 900fps though...I get about 100-110 average with everything maxed out and 8xAA 16xAF @ 1680x1050....

really high FPS easy get 900 on cod4 even in full combat,same as cod2.

Seems rather pointless if you are getting those frame rates. Spend it on a monitor upgrade if its burning a hole in your pocket. To blow it on a better gpu is just stupid at that res.

So he has a more powerfull graphics card setup yet you have more FPS at the same resolution. That makes no sense.
Also what is the point in 900 FPS, your eyes will struggle to tell the difference from 60 to 900 FPS. Your monitor can probably only show 60FPS.
The money is better spent on a 22" widescreen so you can increase the resolution and see your "enemy" clearer is games etc.
If you have nothing better to do with the money save it, and use it when you do think of something you want.

rofl at fps junky, you dont need 300 fps 400 fps or even more. anything above 60 is fine and smooth 75 with something like 8 aa and 16 on 22" monitor is just super eye candy and performance to.
just do your self a favor get if you play fps games get 22" Samsung SM-226BW .

I play at 1680x1050 and whilst im tempted i'm worried it wil be a waste of money.
