Worth upgrading from Vertex 2e to 3?

Hi all.

Looking for opinions of people who have actually upgraded from sata 3 to sata 6 hard drives. Specifically people who have gone from a vertex 2e to a vertex 3. Apart from benchmarks, do you actually feel the diference between the two? For example how much faster does windows load up? What about games or apps?

I get the feeling as the vertex 2e already opens apps instantly and loads window in like 15 seconds, so I won't see any meaningful difference except for in benchmarks. I won't be doing any file transfers so don't care about that.

All I am interested in is how much faster will windows seem and games load. Is it worth the upgrade? I currently have a 60GB SSD and going to 120GB seems to be the main thing, but that alone is not enough for me to upgrade with the prices the way they are currently.

Yeah, that is pretty much what my opinion is also. Hoping for the opinions of people who have upgraded Vertex 3.

So far the silence would indicate not much of an improvement, unless you love to benchpenis :)
 
Not that I've tested either of them myself, but from what I've heard there's not really much of a real-world difference between even an Agility and a Vertex 3. The response time, or lack thereof, is the main thing for the "feel" of a drive in anything but sequential transfers and benchmarking, I'd say.
 
Yeah, unless your a benchmark enthusiast, your really not going to see a difference on the operating system and how it behaves. It may me fragments of a second faster here and there. But no where near enough to justify buying it, if you already own a 2E.
