worthwhile upgrade?........

Hi Guys

At the mo i have an ATI HD2600XT, as i never really used to play games on my machine, but I have recently got into COD4 and im looking at farcry2 and dead space, so looking to get a bit more graphics power. Do you think this:

8800GT 512mb is a worthy upgrade for the price, I dont really have anymore than £100 to spend, being close to christmas and all.

Any advice would be great

Is the extra for a 4850 over the b-grade 8800gt worth it? My current spec is

E2160 @ 3.0ghz
2GB DDR2 800 mem
XFX nForce 650i Ultra mobo
HD2600XT
vista 32bit

if i can pick up an 8800gtx for less than £90 would it b worth it? Are they still good cards in comparison?

You've got an SLI board. Buy a cheap second hand 8800GT for £60 now, put the other £40 you would have spent on a 4850 to one side.. Then, find £20 on the floor, combine with previous £40, buy a second 8800GT for SLI. Winnah

Bugger, looks like the b-grade 8800GTs have gone? What do you think the chances of them coming back are? If not i've found a couple of 8800GTXs on the bay for less than a ton, worth it?
