A WRX can go around corners well, if you know how to drive it. Should be faster round a corner than a MX5 IMO with the right technique. Also braking should be better too.

Beg to differ in all honesty.

Lots of Mechanical grip does not make for a good handling car, however it can fool a lot of people who don't know the difference.

The Impreza needs to be driven slow in fast out. This avoids entry understeer, and utilises the 4WD system on exit.

The Classic Type R scoob and the new age scoobs (the ones with DCCD) do handle extremely well - meaning they behave nicely (oversteer slightly) once the grip has gone, the car remains controllable once it's broken traction.

To say all scoobs do not handle well is broad brush - some do, some dont.

Of course, but most of them (especially the basic WRX models) don't handle so good :)

WRX models need the handling pack. That sharpens the steering up nicely, but still does nothing for the actually handling, the DCCD is the critical bit to get the handling.

Also the stock WRX models are underpowered, so in a drift, they simply dont have the grunt to pull themselves straight.

I'd say to a degree :p

No matter how good you are, my grandad in the Veyron could outpace you and your 18/(Insert correct number of wheels here) wheeler - and he's dead!

Smarty Pants! :p :D

Similar to what I say the other day a VXR Astra absolutely trouncing a Boxster S...Now yes, on the straight the Boxster S crawled away (only slowly mind) but in the roundabouts and corners the Astra whopped him good!!

The Porsche Driver just obviously couldnt drive (as sadly is the case with most people with cars like this), or he was just too scared he loose it!

t'was fun to watch!
