Hey chaps,

Say i get this SATA III-6Gbps card (Lycom PE-108) and buy a SATA III-6Gbps SSD drive would i get the full speed out of whatever SATA III-6Gbps SSD i choose or will my motherboard pci hold me back?

My motherboard is Gigabyte P55 US3L (Rev 2.3)

As you can see,my mobo only has Sata II 3gbps,No proper raid onboard and id like to have one larger SSD anyway.

thanks. ;)

Your putting a lot of effort into this :)

Why don't you just change the MB out for something that supports SATA III and be done with it?

I know :D

Il create a thread in the wanted section and see what comes of it,Dont really want to be spending a whole lot on a new 1156 mobo when its already a dead socket.:p

thanks for your help chaps.:)
